Iteraction of plasmas and plants are actively researched worldwide. We investigate influences of atmospheric-pressure plasmas on plant growth.

Irradiation of Plasma Jet to Radish Sprouts

We found that irradiation of He plasma jet to seeds of radish sprout after soaked in water provides growth-promoting effect. However, such effect does not occur without water soaking.

Growth Control of Thale-Cress

We observed that the growth of thale-cress (Arabidopsis thaliana) is promoted or inhibited depending on the timing when plasma-jet irradiation is operated during the growth process.
