The voltage used in electric motors of electric/hybrid cars are bacoming
higher and higher. This gives us failures of motors due to electric discharges
occurring between winding wires. We focus on partial discharges occurring on enamelled wire surface to solve such issue.
We observed discharge phenomena occurring by applying surge voltages on
a twisted pair. The use of an ICCD camera provides the images of partial
discharge generation.
